bpi.films, a subsidiary of British Polythene Industries Plc (BPI), is celebrating its 10th year as one of the UK's most hygienic manufacturing businesses. Its Sevenoaks site was awarded ADAS Hygiene Accreditation in 1996 and is one of the few packaging manufacturers in Europe to have held this accolade for more than 10 years. At the forefront of hygiene consultancy and training, ADAS has provided advice to manufacturers of food packaging for over 15 years. bpi.films' site at Sevenoaks specialises in high performance films for the food and medical packaging markets and is the largest supplier of lamination films in the UK. The company supplies film for lamination, surface protection and liquid packaging to a wide range of customers across Europe. A much sought-after standard, bpi.films undertook the difficult accreditation process after an initial comprehensive audit of the site by ADAS. The ADAS Elite Hygiene Accreditation Scheme covers the physical standards in place, the management systems, working practices, personnel practices, process controls and operations of the whole business.
