Buxton Launches new 1L bottle - ultimate hydration on the move!

The +7.2% value growth enjoyed by the water category in 2005 continues to be fuelled by the 75cl and 1 ltr sports cap formats, which are enjoying +21%value growth as a segment. With major consumer trends very much in convenience and health, consumers want an 'on the go' healthy alternative to traditional carbonated drinks. The brand new Buxton 1L sports cap is perfect for meeting these needs.

Buxton's new "On the move" sports bottle delivers 1L of pure hydration. This bumper size bottle of Buxton Natural Mineral Water is the answer to all consumer hydration needs. It has a new "easy open" thumb up sports cap which can be opened one-handed, and the bottle is the ideal shape for gripping while on the go.

Buxton's 1L sports cap bottle will also help consumers meet the recommended daily amount of water (1.5L - 2L.)

In addition, the market can expect sales of water to increase by up to 71% when the temperature exceeds 24¼C so now is the time to stock up for the warmer months ahead. Nestle Waters is developing improved signage of the water category for retailers making it easier for the consumer to shop and also improving the efficiency of replenishing the fixture.

Buxton 1L Sports Bottle will be available through retailers nationwide from May 2006. According to the British Geological Society it is a crystal clear mineral water which fell as rain over 5,000 years ago. Buxton flows naturally upwards from a depth of 1,500 metres and arrives at the surface, in the heart of the historic town of Buxton, as pure as nature intended.

Buxton Natural Mineral Water was discovered by the Romans, and for centuries, historic figures, including Mary Queen of Scots, visited Buxton to Ôtake the waters.Õ Eventually, Buxton was developed into a Health Spa and up to the 1930Õs visitors traveled from all parts of Europe to bathe in and drink the waters.
