Llanllyr Source water flows at major golf championship

Llanllyr Source water was enjoyed by the world's leading women's golfers and thousands of spectators recently, as they battled the course and the sometimes unfriendly elements chasing the Ricoh Women's British Open Championship. The event saw a double first as the world's top player Lorena Ochoa won her first 'major' at the first women's professional championship to be played over the historic Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland. The 25 year old from Mexico beat off the challenge from the world's top players including Natalie Gulbis, the Evian Masters Champion (pictured) to finish four shots clear of the field. The event, which will be played at Sunningdale in 2008, is one of the four annual 'majors' and carried a prize fund of £1 million. Llanllyr Source is also the official water of the HSBC World Matchplay Championship at Wentworth in October and The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship later that month.
