Less Cal sprays away the opposition

Less Cal, the innovative easy action cooking oil with less than 1 calorie per spray, has been recognised at Anuga 2007 as one of the most impressive products of the year and included in the Taste 07 product gallery, considered to be an important trend barometer for buyers worldwide.

Anuga 2007, hosted in the new exhibition centre in the historic German city of Cologne, was a truly global event, with a total of 6,607 exhibitors from 95 nations. With a gross exhibition space of 304,000m2, it is the exhibition at which to have a product seen by approximately 160,000 buyers from more than 160 countries.

More than 500 companies submitted almost 1100 products for consideration in the Taste 07 product gallery, which studies new products, innovative trends and future-orientated concepts. The jury, composed of international journalists, was bowled over by the Less Cal oil sprays, from AarhusKarlshamn (AAK).

They particularly commended Less Cal's "state of the art easy handling aluminium cans" and "the use of nitrogen as the propellant gas which is environmentally friendly."

Less Cal has no cholesterol and fewer calories per typical 0.4ml serving than other pan sprays on the market, making this non-stick product, approved by the Vegetarian Society, perfect for spraying onto healthy grills as well as basting, baking, roasting and shallow frying.
