Midlands Co-operative Society selects Aldata G.O.L.D mine for business intelligence

Midlands Co-op, the largest independent Co-operative Society in the UK with over 170 food and non-food stores, has selected G.O.L.D. Mine Business Intelligence software from Aldata, one of the global leaders in supply chain software for retail, wholesale and logistics companies, to give the company a deeper insight into how its business is performing.

Commenting on their purchase, Mark Ruttley, Head of IT at Midlands Coop stated: "G.O.L.D. Mine gives us an affordable and effective means of gaining a deeper understanding of what is happening in our business. This additional knowledge will help us improve the quality of our decision-making and ensure we better serve our customers. The full integration with the rest of G.O.L.D. was an attraction as well as the ability to link it to our existing reporting front-end."

Midlands Co-op is currently implementing a range of Aldata modules. G.O.L.D. Central is already live while G.O.L.D. Shop, POS and Mobile covering EPoS, automatic store replenishment and store inventory management on a PDA, are currently being implemented for a roll-out in 2008.

Mark Croxton, Managing Director at Aldata Solution UK, added: "I am excited by the additional opportunities this will afford the Society. G.O.L.D. Mine is a recently released product and we confidently expect this software will be in great demand by both existing and future customers."
