Kallo outperforms the organic market
Kallo offers consumers a number of organic products across a range of categories. Its portfolio, including organic stock cubes, rice cakes and cereals, provides retailers with a variety of products with organic credentials as well as natural health benefits and great taste delivery.
 Products from the Kallo portfolio are outperforming the organic market. Sales of Kallo's Organic Stock Cubes are growing at 11.2% per cent by value year on year (IRI 52 w/e 29th December 2007) firmly establishing Kallo as the brand leading organic stock cube range. To capitalise on this and the consumer health trend towards low salt products, organic low-salt beef and chicken cubes will be launched in 2008.
This development will form part of a major re-launch exercise for Kallo which will comprise new packaging, range extensions and a series of new product launches. To capitalise on these developments, the brand will be supported by a £1m marketing spend, including a nationwide door drop campaign designed to stimulate trial and drive purchase through the stores.
Kallo's range of cereals is also organic, with a naturally healthy proposition. Kallo cereals have six times less salt compared to other popular cereals and Kallo Original Puffed Rice cereal has seven times less sugar than its main competitors. In addition, they are high in fibre and naturally gluten free. They offer several product benefits, while still delivering on taste, an essential product quality to meet the needs of today's consumer. This spring, Kallo will be investing in its cereal products to extend the range and give the brand greater on-shelf impact.
