New Kendermanns Special Edition Wines

Kendermanns, the number 1 new generation German wine brand in the UK has introduced a Pinot Noir to its restyled Special Edition wines to appeal to the more up-market, knowledgeable consumer.

“Innovation has played a vital role in the development of Kendermanns. Premium products are currently driving growth,* and our new Special Edition Pinot Noir is a truly inspirational wine which shows that Germany can produce excellent premium wines to compete on the international stage. Germany is the third largest Pinot Noir producer after France and the US, and we are well placed to support our customers to take advantage of consumer trends with this dynamic brand,” comments Nik Schritz, Managing Director, Reh Kendermann.

From the Pfalz region, Kendermanns Special Edition Pinot Noir 2006 is smooth and rounded with aromas of black cherry and plum, and notes of tobacco and spice from contact with oak. It joins the innovative cuvee, Kendermanns Special Edition Pinot Grigio Chardonnay 2007. This dry style has aromas of ripe pear and honeydew melon, good weight in the mid palate and a twist of tangerine-freshness on the finish.

The clean, minimalist pack design echoes the Kendermanns brand pedigree with a gold etched emblem of the famous Mice Tower landmark at Bingen, home to this family winery, and reflects the serious wine values of these wines.

Kendermanns is the top selling German wine brand in the UK on trade and the Number Two German wine brand in value in the UK’s off trade, with Reh Kendermann’s Black Tower as the Number One German wine brand.
