Inkrite NG From Medea: A "green" inkjet cartridge that performs!

Medea International together with their strategic partner, G&G Ninestar, are setting a new "Green" benchmark for inkjet cartridges. They have optimised every possibility to deliver a truly environmentally green product that does not compromise on performance or value. Medea has launched the next generation of the Inkrite brand that excels in all these areas - Inkrite NG.

Inkrite NG's performance is due to G&G Ninestar's revolutionary pigment ink, EverBrite. At the recent EverBrite launch event, Yusuf Okhai, Managing Director of Medea, commented: "Consumers that care about the environment and businesses that want to breed a culture that supports their carbon footprint can now have it all - environmentally green products, top quality performance and outstanding value for money."

This is the latest in a series of 'green' printing initiatives from Medea that started earlier in the year with the strategic acquisition of the world famous JR Inkjet Refill company (jrinkjet.co.uk), which users use to refill cartridges at home.

Mr Okhai says: "Printing more and more is never going to save the earth. But printing is here to stay and is growing. Changes we make now that are better for the planet will spread in relevance and effect, like ripples in a pond. "Green" used to be a lifestyle choice. Nowadays it's more a fundamental choice in morality.

"We shouldn't have to give up quality of life for quality of print. 'Good enough' is simply not good enough any more."

EverBrite inks offer performance generally unheard of in third party products. End-users can achieve the same as and even exceed the performance of an OEM. EverBrite is based on a novel patented pigment technology, which provides breakthrough performance not only in its durability, but also in the quality of its print performance.

EverBrite inks offer true "fade resistance," both in terms of Ozone and UV. This means your documents and photographs printed with EverBrite inks can last up to 110 years without noticeable fade. Also, when using EverBrite inks you will have the added benefit of great smudge and highlighter resistance - an important attribute for the SOHO user.

The universal nature of these inks means that the print performance on both plain and glossy paper is outstanding. The inks offer "brilliance" of colour but also provide crisp dark text, and show little variation no matter what quality of paper is used.

Yusuf says "The aftermarket is poised to overtake traditional market leaders in terms of product quality as well as value. We (Medea and G&G Ninestar) have built on yesterday's solutions with today's technology. We do not fit into the traditional aftermarket of perceived inferior quality and have carved out a new market - the "Futuremarket" - solutions that come after but are never behind, solutions that truly reflect the needs and wants of the end-user, present and future."

Inkrite NG's compatible range for Epson are truly ecologically friendly. They use recyclable materials and allow consumers to reuse half the cartridge over-and-over - replacing only internal sealed ink tanks. The cartridge, developed by G&G Ninestar, is a two piece cartridge, with only one part being replaced so wastage is far lower, and as a portion of the cartridge is reused, cost for ink tanks is also much lower than full cartridges. The up and coming remanufactured range for HP and Lexmark will optimise and build on the re-dispersible nature of the pigment based EverBrite ink. This will enable recycling of a cartridge more times than when using other third party inks.

Medea claim Inkrite NG's ability to at least match the OEM in print quality and exceed in terms of page yield (up to 3.5 times the pages) coupled with optimised recyclability for the remanufactured range and replacement of ink tanks for the compatible range, is according to G&G and Medea, an unbeatable combination both commercially and ecologically.

If this isn't enough to draw you to the Inkrite NG brand, then maybe this will tip you over the edge. Medea has gone the extra mile and has heavily invested in a new unique packaging that promises to be a one-for all solution:
¥ Packed in innovative, sealed, tamper evident blisters made from recyclable PET.
¥ Water resistant and "zero glare" matt finish paperboard frontage.
¥ Easy open with a simple pull tab, and therefore safe - and require no scissors.
¥ Welded with new and innovative technologies with low energy usage, lowering carbon footprints.
¥ The same display facing size as OEM cartridges, but use up to 40% less space in post and shipping, lowering eco costs in every movement.
¥ They will either stand up or hang on hooks, unlike many traditional blister packs.

The packaging is said to encompass beauty, safety, simplicity, form, function and environmental awareness in perfect harmony, with world class technology inside.

Certainly it shows the aftermarket, or "futuremarket" as Mr Okhai refers to it, is giving the established market leaders food-for-thought.

By creating a totally new packaging format for ink cartridges, and packing it with a unique product, Inkrite feel they have a product that is simply bristling with advantages that meet the needs of the consumer, distributor and retailer.

The Inkrite NG compatible range for Epson and Canon is available now, with the remanufactured range for HP and Lexmark to follow shortly.
